Dr. Rob Clark

We are lucky to have Dr. Rob Clark in the clinic part time while Dr. Raftis is on maternity leave. He will be lending us his surgical experience, and performing Cruciate Ligament surgeries, including extra capsular technique and tightrope technique, as well as offering fracture repair services. He enjoys getting to know clients and is very invested in their pets. He has worked in Smiths Falls and Renfrew, and is happy to work closer to home in Almonte. In his spare time, he spends a lot of time at the gym – and you’d recognize him – at 6’6″ he’s hard to miss!

Dr. Tara Raftis (currently off on maternity leave)

As the redhead of the team, Dr Raftis is quite memorable! She completed her in clinic training with the team at AVS, and joined as one of our veterinarians in 2018. She is a graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College, and lives with her husband Sean and daughter Abby in Carleton Place. They have a German shepherd named Danni, and three cats, Mimi, Duke and Cat-Cat. She is a mixed animal practitioner and likes to spend time with her family and exploring the outdoors on her days off.
