Rylie graduated St. Lawrence College in 2015 and joined the Almonte Veterinary Services team shortly thereafter. She has lived in Almonte her whole life. She has a dog, Iris, who lives up to the general rule of veterinary owned pets being lemons, and a cat, Echo who is lovely. She can often be found walking Iris around town.
Eunah moved to Canada from South Korea in 2014. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Algonquin College in 2017, and became a Registered Veterinary Technician that same year. Her interests as a vet tech are anesthetic procedures, cytology and dental procedures. In her free time she enjoys hiking, doing yoga, snowboarding. But her favourite is spending time with her loving family and pets. She lives with her husband Yongchan, two daughters – Sumin and Nahyeon – and three cats Pumpkin, Pie and Oreo.
Justine Roy Sevigny
Justine graduated from Boreal College in 2018. She had done part of her training with us, and we were happy to have her join the team after graduation. She lives in Kanata, with her dog, Maya, who she adopted from the Ottawa Humane Society, and her cat, Kleo. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, and other outdoor activities. She is happy to provide a smiling face here, and cuddle with your pets if they need to stay in hospital.
Sandy has been working at AVS since 2008. Her daughter lives in Alberta and manages a feed store. She has one horse, several duck, two dogs and two cats, one husband and two children. She lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband and adult son who won’t leave. She enjoys working with the animals here, and keeping the rest of the staff in check.
Paige graduated from Algonquin College Veterinary Assistant program in February 2018. She is from the Clayton area and was happy to find a job close to home. She joined the AVS team shortly after graduation. She has a Golden Retriever named Gus and a horse named Eddie. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors. She can be frequently found at the reception desk, or in the treatment area helping to make your pets visit as comfortable as possible.
Lara graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Algonquin College in 2016. She grew up and still resides in Stittsville. Lara and her sister are the first two Canadians born into their family history! She currently shares her home with her one-eyed cat Poppy, who she rescued from a barn and her two dogs, Chloe a Boston Terrier & her newest addition, Opie, a Brussels Griffon.

Ellen is our longest standing staff member, working here since 1992, shortly after the clinic’s inception. She graduated from Sheridan College in 1980. She is well known around town, and is actively involved in her church. She is vital to the operation of the dairy farm she, her husband and her son own, Symcroft Farm. She enjoys showing their holstein dairy cattle. Ellen is the best known staff member here at Almonte Veterinary Services, and can be counted on to enjoy a conversation, or learn about your pet whenever you come into the clinic.
Jodi joined our team in 2016 as part of our reception staff. She’s always happy to greet people with a smile. Born and raised in the Clayton area, she currently resides there with her husband and two children. She has two dogs, and three cats. She loves animals and can always be counted on to bottle raise a litter of kittens in need. You can find her at the reception desk ready to greet you with a smile.
