Jodi McComb, Receptionist

Jodi is one of our friendly receptionists at the front, welcoming our patients and owners as they arrive. She brings with her more than 20 years of customer service experience. She also holds a diploma in office administration from Algonquin College. Jodi grew up in the Clayton area, and is excited to be working in a veterinary office, as she loves all animals.  At   home, Jodi, her husband Chris and two children, have two dogs, two cats and two rabbits, she would have more if her husband would let her.


Alison Armstrong, Vet Tech

Staff 2016 (14)Alison has lived in the Ottawa area for most of her life. She currently resides in Arnprior where she enjoys taking her two pups for walks and swims on the beach, and then lounging out with her two kitties. She enjoys anything outdoors, especially gardening, camping, fishing and hiking. She completed her Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College on June 1st, 2016 and is very excited to be working and learning more here at AVS.


Rylie-Mae Giles, Vet Tech

Rylie-Mae Giles has lived in Almonte or the surrounding area for most of her life, and has just recently moved back after completing the Veterinary Technologist program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. She is very happy to be back in Almonte and working as a Vet Tech at Almonte Veterinary Services. While at St. Lawrence she adopted a cat from the Kingston Humane Society who was one of her anesthetic patients while in school.


Ellen Syme, Reception

Ellen has worked at Almonte Veterinary Services since 1992 as a receptionist. She is also a local dairy farmer and spends a lot of time involved in 4-H clubs and dairy cow shows.


Sandy Nolan, Kennel Assistant

Sandy started with Almonte Vet in 2008 as a Kennel Assistant. Her jobs vary from preparation of surgery and cleaning kennels, to gardening and repairs. Sandy and her husband own a farm in Gilles Corners with their children Dean and Victoria. She shares her home with…every animal you can think of!
